Lee M. Danhauer, ASA, is a seasoned leader in the auction and appraisal industry, boasting over 30 years of hands-on experience in the auction, appraisal, and industrial machinery profession. His journey has seen him in pivotal roles in leading industrial equipment appraisal and liquidation firms and has founded and operated his own companies. Lee's portfolio includes thousands of machinery and equipment appraisals and auctions for financial, commercial, and industrial applications, catering to a diverse clientele. His expertise spans equipment purchasing, strategic target marketing for industrial auctions, and liquidations across a wide range of equipment types.  

Currently, Lee serves as the Vice President of Jeff Martin Appraisals, where he has established and directs the company's Appraisals Division, focusing on internal risk management and equipment pricing. His career is marked by significant roles, such as Vice President at Ritchie Bros. Appraisal Services, where he led sales management and operations and achieved revenue targets despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. At Great American, Lee was the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Machinery and Equipment division and responsible for day to day operations and P&L for the multi-national organization. His entrepreneurial ventures as the Danhauer Auction Group and Corval owner highlight his specialization in heavy equipment and manufacturing appraisals and machinery brokerage. His prior Hilco Industrial and Dovebid roles further showcase his expertise in managing high-value liquidations and auctions. 

Lee's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics focusing on Agricultural Financial Management from the University of Kentucky, and Philosophy and Theology coursework from Loyola University of Chicago. He is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School and has served as an instructor at the Southeastern School of Auctioneering. Lee has completed the USPAP course promulgated by the Appraisal Foundation and maintains compliance with these standards. 

His professional credentials are extensive. Lee holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers and the Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI) designation from the National Auctioneers Association. He has completed coursework for the ASA in Machinery and Technical Specialties (ME 201 through 204) and the Appraisal Review and Management (ARM) designation. Lee is also a certified instructor for the ASA's ME 201 and 202 courses. 

Lee has been actively involved in numerous professional associations. He is a former Machinery Dealers National Association member, the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) and served as Chairman of the Board for the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina (AANC). He has also been on the Board of Directors for the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers and was named the 2006 North Carolina State Grand Champion Auctioneer by AANC.
